I've made a lot of new friends over the past couple weeks. About half of them are only here for a month or so. But, now I know more people in other european countries that I can visit! Speaking of that, I'll be going to Germany soon for Oktoberfest. We're driving through Switzerland and Austria to get there, so it should be a fun road trip.
I went hiking recently in the Chartreuse mountains. Pictures are posted here. The other guys that were going pulled out the day of, so it was just me and 4 ladies. I can't tell you how much I hated that! :-) The weather was beautiful (as it has been for a couple weeks now). It still gets cool at night (which I love).
So I had a birthday last weekend. I went out and saw some live jazz music with some friends. It was pretty cool, I enjoyed the music. I found the audience a little strange though. No one would say a word or even move during the performance. No drinks were served until the breaks. It seemed a bit odd to me, but I had a good time.
